The Friends of Peterson Park has begun a project to support community, learning and health through play by helping to rebuild part of the Peterson Park playground that was damaged in 2008.

We are hoping to cultivate community support and help to find the funds needed to purchase new playground equipment.

Play is important.

Play builds strong bodies through exercise and the development of physical skills.  Play builds healthy minds through encouraging problem-solving, judgment, awareness, and imagination.  Play builds communities by bringing people together in a common, safe space to collaborate, share, and relate to one another.

Are you a friend of Peterson Park?  A fan?  A neighbor?  Please join us!
